25 Weeks Pregnant

And so here we are.

 In front of some dandy new "curtains" I made yesterday.

Is it weird to admit I forget I am pregnant a lot?

No, no... this mama has not been boozing it up or anything like that!

I just hardly feel "different" anymore.

It's pretty odd when feeling normal involves a little boy,

inside my belly,

head to the left,

facing front,

knees in,

and kicking my right side prrrretty much all day and night.

Yah. This is what normal is starting to feel like.

So it will be odd when in just a couple months I go back to being just *me!*

15 weeks to go... 

(Give or take. I am betting early because he seems like he already wants out! With all this pushing and kicking!) 

 I feel like my tummy has gotten pretty big but last time my midwife measured my belly
I was actually 2 weeks smaller than average.

Crazy right?

But don't get me started on the outie belly button.

I love it, because it's something I will only have for a short and wonderful time.

However I can't hide it. Even through thick shirts (and why would I want to wear those in July?) you can still see the obvious imprint of a popped out button and everyone and their mothers take this zippity quick look at it and then their eyes shoot in a totally opposite direction, as if they just saw something they were not supposed too. 

It's not dirty, or sexy or an alien or whatever the heck!
That is probably my only complaint at this point. Everything else has been just golden. 

 The only other "out of the ordinary" thing I can think of that has been happening lately is for the last 2 weeks or so I have been nesting, with explosive force. 

I can't rest until every shelf has been robbed of it's knick-knacks,

every desk moved and mopped under,

every unmatched sock gone to sock heaven,

every lame movie I ever bought from a clearance bin purged,
every "just in case I need this" shoe box ripped from under my bed,

every book I will read "when I get the time",
gone.

Everything is going away in a yard sale
(and until then all this stuff is sitting to the side of our living room and I can not stand it!)

and anything we don't sell we are bringing to a Goodwill.

Oh clean and uncluttered bedroom of mine, 

you feel so peaceful to be in.
Nesting can really get things DONE!  ;D

I Just Can't Stop and It's Taking Over My Life!

... Planting things that is. It's not as bad as it sounds and it's an obsession I am okay with having.

Here are some of my plants I have started indoors...

 

We are going to have 
radishes, corn, squash, 
beans, cilantro, lettuce, cabbage, eggplant, peas, cucumbers, zucchini, beets, kale, carrots, tomatoes and I could keep going!

2 Projects and Other Ramblings

People are so fascinating to me, because everyone is different. 

Everyone has their different tastes, hobbies, skills and traits. It's really easy  to enjoy people that embrace those things about themselves. People like that are the most interesting, groovy sorts of people. They have so much to show the world and are not afraid to bring themselves to the "table of life" that we all sit at.

Most people imagine themselves quite a bit different than they are in reality 

but as long as you have a grasp of how you actually present yourself on this earth, I'd say you're just fine.

In my head when I see myself, I imagine black waving locks even Rapunzel would envy.

I'd be wearing a huge gothic victorian gown sitting in a forest at the edge of an ebony grand piano.

That's pretty far from reality considering I have never wore a crinoline caged dress and I can't play piano.(Yet!) Not to mention I am naturally blonde, born in 1990, and just a little too 

late for corsets and boots like these:

Yet I wear corsets and shoes like that anyway, since it is a little more socially acceptable at this point. ;)

It's a shame we don't live in a world free of judgement so people could be just exactly who they want to be.

All of that aside there are still things I can and will do with my time here, and those things do not actually build who I am at all. It took 21 years to realize that truth. I am still me without my hair dyed, piercings in, cool clothes, violin, tattoos, sewing machine or any THING since all of those things are subject to change.

Who you are is in IN you, it's something you can't take out.

It's your heart, soul, higher being, whatever you want to call it, 

and that does not change with my nose ring in or out. 

With that being said, here are the two projects I am working on. 

The hardest part is I just want them done, so I can have something tangible that I did!

But as Miley Cyrus said (Yes, she is a tween pop sensation and 

I am sure she did not even write the song but it has a very good point) 

"There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move

I restrung my violin on my own for the first time last night!

 I am pretty pumped about sewing these. 

I really have not sewn with patterns before but it should be fun!

The finished product will be posted soon! 

This is my "I restrung my violin when everyone said it was going to be too hard" face. :)

Well, I may have got an ittee bittee amount of help from my husband,
when I walked by him with a hammer he decided it would be best to step in for moral support.

This week at our house...

 Jared was having a bad day this day, so I made him a "I Love You" banner made of ... precious paper.

 Maps, as usual..... Freakin' me out!

I hung up icicle tree ornaments outside. They were a gift from my mother in law. Aren't they beautiful? 

 This a crazy shot of MerDock. No other explanation needed. Hehe

 All of our summer and spring decorations are down... well, except these paper Japanese style lights. I did not want to part with them, plus we don't have any holiday lights outside. Just a TON inside!

 I took this photo as it was getting dark outside and used a flash. Pretty neat affect I thought! This would also be the holly tree I had been taking from to build holiday bouquets and such.

 This is our kitchen after Jared ever so gently said, "Maybe we should cut those outside?" Haha, no way! It is too chilly and dark! Plus I cleaned up right after...

We Made Enoki and Leek Fried Rice which was AWESOME

and totally random so I do not have a recipe to share, oops!

We finally got all of our holiday shopping done, and just 3 gifts short I ran out of 

wrapping paper... and used tinfoil. Wrong or not?
