Absence

Hello everybody!

I wanted to let anyone who reads my blog, know that I apologize for my absence.

There has been so much going on in our little corner of the world, all really really GOOD things...

But I am going to continue to be absent until early April, then I'll be back in full swing with more interesting blogs than the last few. I am sorry again for this! I have been trying to blog, but I'm feeling pretty bound by our current circumstances so I can not blog to my hearts content just yet, but just you wait!

I sincerely hope all of you are having a spectacular time!

Challice M.

I can't wait for Spring!!!

Easy Noodles!

Growing up we ate A LOT of ramen. I mean A LOT, but it is one of the few things that was not ruined due to over-doing it as a kid. However if you put a whole wheat peanut butter sandwich with and a handful of pretzels on a plate in front of me I would up and leave. Eating that for lunch everyday for 2 years can do that do a person. Anyways, I can still eat ramen, and I really enjoy it, as simple as it is! I blame this on the fact that I discovered the BEST way to cook it a couple years ago but incase someone out there had never done this before I figured I should let 'em know!

First off I'd like to get the idea out of your head that ramen = soup.
I don't like ramen in soup form and I don't know many people that do!

Think NOODLES!

I put a few handfuls of veggies/toppings into about 3 cups of boiling water,
whatever you would like really! Mushrooms, peanuts, chicken, shrimp, leeks, peppers, whatever!
And cook everything until it's done.
Next add the ramen noodles and the flavor pack.
Stir about every 3 minutes. Leave the lid off.
Cook on medium until there isn't any water left in the pan.

Ta-Da!
Noodles!

A couple little helpful tips:

You can't add too much water.
If you boil the water out and the noodles are not done yet,
add half a cup and wait till the water boils out again.

Also be sure to cook your meats FIRST,
before adding them to the water/veggies.

Last Week at Our House...

 Packing Jared's work lunches.

Have you ever gone through those times where you are SO HUNGRY?
That's me. I've been cooking everything!

I made a banner for my nephews first birthday. I think it turned out pretty well!

I also made these cool tissue orbs decorations for the little guy's party.

I can't wait until we can have a first birthday party for our future baby!

On the left is our new door. Much classier than the old "hardly ever shuts" door.
And on the right is Owlbert who now lives on my desk. He is made of a TP roll and Owlbert is also classy.

I have grown to love these little 5 pounders. Working out a little everyday.

We didnt have a place for all of my pins so I made this neat-o pin holder out of an old mason jar and some fabric.

The sunrises around here have been just wonderful.
Peaceful.
Bliss.

Jared deciding jalapenos would look great on his finger tips. Hopefully he didn't rub his eyes... again..

 5am mornings. Bitter sweet.
Make up and coffee half asleep.

 Sewing sewing sewing.
Right now I am working on a dress, and a couple days ago I finished these sweet leggings!

Sorry I have not been posting a ton lately! Let's just say there is a lot going on in our little world.

Posting more soon!

Here is my best/worst flop of all...

Pickled eggs.
I even deleted the recipe from my blog because they tasted THAT BAD.
