February Flops

I don't know if anyone remembers but just before Christmas I decided I wanted to make my mother in law a couple stick vases which I originally saw on http://pinterest.com/

http://www.thewonderforest.com/2011/10/make-vase-out-of-sticks-tutorial-time_18.html
They were supposed to look like this ^

Well no one noticed I did not post them but that is because they turned out awful!
There was a whole lot more hot glue that stick,
and the constantly fell over due to unevenly distributed weight.

Champagne D'Argent ...

...What a fancy name you have!

Hello everyone! I hope you have had a great week!
We have great news! We had decided to get two baby bunnies! I mean, how exciting is that?!
I am still waiting on Jared to pick his rabbit, at first I don't think he was too interested. Maybe he thought "a bunny is a bunny" kind of thing, but after showing him a ton of available breeds, well, we shall see. It will be interesting to see what he picks. I love that guy. Anyways, I have chosen a purebred Champagne D'Argent. The breeder has been so kind and is going to be sending me pictures of their progress, what a nice lady!

Baby bunnies, I AM YOUR FATHER!

One of these fluffless loves is coming home with us in April. They were born just 2 short days ago!

As babies, they are born black,
but within a month each start to develop
their unique coat patterns. Their under color
is a short slate blue/black coat and with age
they developed a second longer white coat
giving off a silver effect.

Champagne D'Argent
is one of the worlds
oldest breeds.

We are going to have them help with the garden this year, using their waste for compost and fertilizer. Also Jared might incorporate them in his mushroom growing activities. But really, who needs a ton of reasons to get an animal? I just love 'em. I could own a hundred as long as I had the time and space. :)

I am so excited!

Hope
your
week
is
going
well!

Baby Fever

(Not to be confused with Beiber fever.
Just so you were 100 % sure.
Now that, that is cleared up I'd like to share some more thoughts.)
Word of the day, baby.
No, wait. I mean word of the week,
actually, let's just skip to word of the last few YEARS.
Everybody's got a baby.
She's got a baby.
He's got a baby.
Your mutha had a baby.
I bet YOU might even have a baby.
Well dagnabbit. I guess I am going to have to be patient for a while longer.
A little while back we officially decided to wait until I was done with my associates degree to have a baby. But 2 years seems like eternity! So, to fill the time Jared and I are going to compose a list if things we want to do in the next 2 years. (This means things like travel, knit baby ponchos, climb mountains... you know, things that would be harder but not impossible to do with said babie(s) ) In the few short years Jared and I have been together, we have already been through so much and there is so much to look forward too! I just can't wait for life to keep happening. We have a really cozy,  good and strong life now and I am SO thankful for everyone in our lives! I am thankful I live in a place I can go to school to become an elementary school teacher (I am going to need to remember that when homework starts coming! :P ) I am also pumped for this April, we are planting a huge garden, which I will be blogging about, no doubt! And lastly,  I am so happy the sun is going to come back this Spring so Jared and I can go on a thousand more walks down the Washington trails. Being alive can be so wonderful.

These are the reasons why I live my life.

This was taken after a family member's wedding.                                               Halloween Party 2010.

At the Marina.

As we were leaving the courthouse. *married!*

After our actual wedding...the lovely ceremony 6 months later.

Downtown Seattle.

Going on a walk through the woods.                                                                             Backyard summers.

Today was yesterday's tomorrow.

Date #11 Work Out Partners and #14 Gyros

Today, Jared did yoga and paliates with me.
Isn't working out next to someone really awkward!?
I made funny puffy faces doing arm exercises and breathed heavy when doing crunches.
Thank goodness I got Date # 11 completed!

Life Lately and The Worlds Easiest Peanut Butter Cookies

I decided to stray from my usual eggplant recipe and make an eggplant pie of sorts. Awesome as always!

I like peanut butter and I like cookies but I don't really care for peanut butter cookies.
They are far crunchier than cookies should be in my opinion. But my sister shared a super easy recipe with me and they turn out so chewy.  Mmmm! If you want to know how to make them...

Preheat oven to 350 °

1 Egg
1 Cup O' Sugar   ...you could borrow it from your neighbor if you don't have some!
1 Cup of Peanut Butter.

Mix until .....mixed?

Bake on cookie sheet for approximately 8 minutes. Add about 2 more minutes if you made 'em big like me.
Done!

Date # 5 Make a very fancy breakfast in bed. DONE!

The picture on the left is me getting all dolled up to go somewhere and the photo on the right is me being grubby and working on the garden. It is weeded and expended, ready for spring!

We also completed Date #9 Make lemon meringue pie together.
... But it was eaten so fast there were no pictures! Sorry!
Totally random but, I don't know why I never thought of layering tights before. I thought it looked pretty rad!

Date # 17 Take a drive. Here, there, anywhere is now complete!
You can't tell in the photo above but there were so many swans flying above us!

The short way home.                                                 The long way home.

We love Washington.

We also finished Date #16
Have a game night. Every kind of game! Cards. Console. Board games.
FYI I have become rather vicious at Poker if I do say so myself. Watch out!

Being a Teacher

This is what being a weekend teacher
Looks like during the week Of ValentinEs day.

Glitter hearts from their last teacher's project pinned on the wall

Love is in the air

Things pinned on our board

"Aaron's Staff" and  "Children of Light" Projects.
The Lanterns they used were actually the ones we used for our wedding.
I thought instead of them sitting in a closet somewhere, maybe the kids would enjoy them. It was a really fun project.
Here they were. I had the bridesmaid and groomsmen carry them up to the isle and set them
down in a path leading up to the front and center. .... I really could not have had a better wedding.

It was such a wonderful day.

Anyway, I am getting side tracked with wedding pictures!
Back to the kids... hehee

Exchanging Valentines.
One of the girls in a younger class came running in, to give one of our boys a card.
He slowly read/pronounced the words "You make me want to dance" which was printed on the card.
Then shot the most squeemish look to me like NO! I DON'T LIKE GIRLS! Hahhaaha

So here is a look into my little class!

Let us pretend you can't tell the teachers collar necklaces from the 6 year old's. ;D
Man, I love those guys.

Date #2 Go To An Arcade

This is what we did for Valentines day. What did you do?

Only problem, we ran out of quarters!!!
