Life Lately

Over the last month, all of our Sunday school classes worked together to make a huge "Creation" project. Each class was given a day or two of creation, and with those days, build a huge poster. When all the classes worked together, each creation day's poster was lined up in a row and it looked really nice! Our class was assigned day 4. The day the sun, moon, stars and planets were created. (A pretty cool day if I do say so myself...) The teachers were asked to bring snacks matching with their day. I could not do it alone so I had my best friend "Spiffy" come over and help me make planet cakes and shooting star cupcakes! It was a huge success, and as usual, too much cake! I don't even like cake! (Except cheese cake! Mmmmmm!) Poor Jared misses these guys so bad. He has had to work Sundays again, so he never see's the kids! I asked them what we should name baby (Even though the names are chosen!) and I got the following names: Baby Flower, Aurora, (oddly enough, I had considered in the past) Cinderella, Dr. Pickle and Baby Spongebob. (My personal fav!) I asked them, "What about when it's not a baby anymore?" Old Man Spongebob? 

Hmmmm.... I think we are just going to stick to the names we have!

Epic Easter

 Easter morning was so beautiful. 

 I went to church and got my little Sunday school class all set up... and by "set up" I mostly mean divided out candy as I prepared for the kid's Easter lesson. We actually learned A LOT about the holiday itself! 

I am always impressed with how smart those kids are.

 This was the example I used to show Jesus's tomb... Okay, you might have to use some imagination. One of my kids of course didn't, flipped the rock out and asked where I hid all the Easter eggs. Oh boys!

 I love that little classroom.

 A project from a couple weeks ago, actually I should say lack of a project. The project I picked out for the kids was a no-go. So they asked to paint instead. I agreed and talked to them about their friends and how friendships are really important. What can ya do, ya know?

 My curly haired boy all "glammed up" in Easter wears. 

 After church, the egg hunt at my in-law's house went well. My 2 year old niece really wasn't getting the whole "searching" element of the hunt, so the eggs were tossed all over the lawn. It was so nice out!

 And lastly the day was finished off with my brother and sister in law's new bike and eating Easter lunch left overs. What a good day :)

Baby Fever

(Not to be confused with Beiber fever.
Just so you were 100 % sure.
Now that, that is cleared up I'd like to share some more thoughts.)

No, wait. I mean word of the week,

actually, let's just skip to word of the last few YEARS.

He's got a baby. 
Your mutha had a baby.
I bet YOU might even have a baby.  

Well dagnabbit. I guess I am going to have to be patient for a while longer.

A little while back we officially decided to wait until I was done with my associates degree to have a baby. But 2 years seems like eternity! So, to fill the time Jared and I are going to compose a list if things we want to do in the next 2 years. (This means things like travel, knit baby ponchos, climb mountains... you know, things that would be harder but not impossible to do with said babie(s) ) In the few short years Jared and I have been together, we have already been through so much and there is so much to look forward too! I just can't wait for life to keep happening. We have a really cozy,  good and strong life now and I am SO thankful for everyone in our lives! I am thankful I live in a place I can go to school to become an elementary school teacher (I am going to need to remember that when homework starts coming! :P ) I am also pumped for this April, we are planting a huge garden, which I will be blogging about, no doubt! And lastly,  I am so happy the sun is going to come back this Spring so Jared and I can go on a thousand more walks down the Washington trails. Being alive can be so wonderful. ♥

I thought instead of them sitting in a closet somewhere, maybe the kids would enjoy them. It was a really fun project.

Here they were. I had the bridesmaid and groomsmen carry them up to the isle and set them 

down in a path leading up to the front and center. .... I really could not have had a better wedding.

It was such a wonderful day.

Exchanging Valentines.

One of the girls in a younger class came running in, to give one of our boys a card. 

He slowly read/pronounced the words "You make me want to dance" which was printed on the card.

Then shot the most squeemish look to me like NO! I DON'T LIKE GIRLS! Hahhaaha

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Our little class is one of my favorite things in life.

I found these deep in the cupboard. They must have been made

 before we were teachers. The kids thought they were a hoot!

Because Sunday school teachers are classy. 

Because Sunday school teachers are cozy!

MerDock is a drama queen. He almost died without us!

Mer's new favorite spot. He has to flip around about 6 times to get his body to *mostly* fit up there.

I think we need to talk to Maps about her "eating herself into a zombie-coma" problem.
